1) About Tech Shelf
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and any purchases made through Tech Shelf (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing the site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
2) Eligibility & Use of Website
You agree to use this website for lawful purposes only and not to misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site or its systems.
3) Product Information & Compatibility
We work to ensure product descriptions, images, specifications, and compatibility notes are accurate. However: product images may be representative and may vary slightly from the actual item; compatibility depends on your specific device, configuration, and use case. It is your responsibility to confirm compatibility before ordering — if you’re unsure, contact us first. Refurbished items are pre-owned, fully tested, and may show normal cosmetic wear; the product description states what’s included.
4) Pricing & Taxes
All prices are in Canadian dollars. Prices may change without notice. Applicable taxes (GST/PST) are calculated at checkout based on your shipping address. A minimum order of $20 applies to shipped orders; smaller orders include a small order fee bringing the merchandise total to $20.
5) Orders & Payment
Orders are subject to acceptance and availability. We may cancel or refuse an order for reasons including suspected fraud, pricing errors, or inventory issues — if we do, you receive a full refund. Payment must be received in full before an order ships.
6) Shipping & Delivery
We ship within British Columbia and Alberta. Current rates and delivery estimates are on our Shipping & Delivery page. Timelines are estimates and may be affected by carrier delays, weather, or other factors outside our control.
7) Returns & Refunds
You may return most items within 30 days of delivery for a refund, provided they are in the condition received (and for new items, in original packaging). Contact us first at orders@shoptechshelf.ca with your order number for return instructions — returns without prior contact may be refused. Refunds are issued to the original payment method once the item is received and inspected. Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility unless the item was defective, damaged, or incorrect.
8) Warranty & Refurbished Items
New products carry the manufacturer’s warranty; coverage and process vary by brand. Refurbished computers and laptops are tested by our in-house team and include a 90-day warranty covering hardware defects (excludes physical damage, liquid damage, software issues, and normal wear). To the extent permitted by law, Tech Shelf provides no warranty beyond what is stated here or on the product page.
9) Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us within 30 days of delivery with your order number, a description of the issue, and photos of the item and packaging where applicable. We will make it right — replacement, repair, or refund.
10) Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tech Shelf is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including loss of data, profits, or business interruption) arising from use of the site or products purchased. Our total liability for any claim related to an order will not exceed the amount you paid for the product(s) giving rise to the claim.
11) Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Tech Shelf harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your misuse of the website or violation of these Terms.
12) Intellectual Property
All content on this website (logos, text, graphics, images, product descriptions) is owned by or licensed to Tech Shelf and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute content without written permission.
13) Privacy
Your use of the site is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
14) Third-Party Links
Our website may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices.
15) Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on the website is current. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
16) Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
